This year has been chock-full of anticipation for Android 7.0 Nougat, which only continued to build through the developer previews of the latest version of Android. But when the official release hit a few weeks ago, people became incensed over the fact that there weren’t factory images available yet for the Nexus 6 or, to a lesser extent, the Nexus 9 LTE.
The good news, however, is that the update is still coming and isn’t too far out. Google has given word that the update will arrive “in the coming weeks”. That’s not a specific date by any means, but it gives some reassurance to owners of these Nexus devices.
While frustrating, it’s likely for the best, as the delay is probably in place to squash some bugs remaining in the software. Hold out a bit longer and your update will arrive before you know it.
