The Samsung Galaxy S8 is getting closer to being unveiled, so it makes sense that the rumor mill would want to show off every angle it can before Samsung can make the device official.
MySmartPrice and serial leaker @OnLeaks have a new report that shows off renders of not only the Galaxy S8, but also the Galaxy S8 Plus. The renders are refined, showing off a clean device that continues Samsung’s design decisions from the Galaxy S7, but with one key change this time around: Samsung will use a curved display in its smaller variant of its flagship devices this time around.
The report echoes the rumors we’ve heard in the past. The Galaxy S8 will feature either a 5.7- or 5.8-inch display, and the Galaxy S8 Plus will boast either a 6.1- or 6.2-inch display. Both will be curved and use Super AMOLED panels. They both will feature USB Type-C ports on the bottom, too, as well as 3.5mm headphone jacks. Both models will also feature an iris scanner, and the fingerprint reader will indeed be on the back, right next to the camera.
Here are the specs the report states the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature:
- Screen: 5.7-inch or 5.8-inch (Galaxy S8), 6.1-inch or 6.2-inch (Galaxy S8 Plus), dual curved Super AMOLED display, 2560 x 1440 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection
