With the release of Android 6.0 Lollipop for Nexus devices and even some non-Nexus devices around 3 months ago, many people are waiting for the manufacturer or carrier to release the 6.0 update for their devices. But as is expected, most manufacturers and carriers are taking their sweet time.
Verizon has announced an update to the Galaxy Note 4, but it’s not 6.0. It’s Android 5.1.1, an update other carriers pushed to the Note 4 months ago. This update includes support for Android for Work, an update to Samsung Knox, and the removal of a few Amazon apps from the device.
It’s a decent update and people should download them, but you have to admit the update process for many carrier devices is agonizingly slow.
