The Nokia 3 launched with Nougat on board, but Nokia promised an update to the newer Android 7.1.1 by the end of August. While not a very important update, it’s good to see Nokia pushing for even smaller updates.
August passed and no update was pushed, but it is now finally going out to Nokia 3 owners. It’s a little late but appreciated nonetheless. Android 7.1.1 brings features like sending GIFs from the keyboard in supported apps, direct shortcuts on the stock launcher (long press an icon for a list of actions), and more emojis.
If you own this device, head to Settings > About phone to check for new updates and let us know when you get it! Oreo is next and we hope Nokia will be just as dedicated to pushing the update out quickly.
