Target announces ‘Wallet’ in the Target app for easier payments

This is not another mobile payment system. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, Target has announced a feature called Wallet inside the current Target app. It’s a place for your Target REDcard, Cartwheel offers, and weekly ad coupons.

After setup, the cashier just scans your phone and the REDcard discount, offers, and coupons all take effect at once. You’ll also be able to store and redeem Target gift cards in the app soon. The company claims that this system is up to four times faster than other payment systems.

If you have a Target REDcard, there’s really no reason not to set up the Wallet payment system. Download the Target app from the Google Play Store to give it a shot!
