Announced on Tuesday, Verizon Wireless is making a few key changes to its prepaid service that should hopefully save some money along the way.
First and foremost, Verizon Prepaid is now offering autopay discounts on some of its plan offerings. This discount is available on plans that cost $40 or more. So from this point on the 3GB of LTE data per month plan, which normally costs $40 per month, will only cost $35 per month with autopay switched on. Verizon is also boosting the 7GB plan to 8GB per month of high-speed data, and that will cost $45 per month after the autopay discount.
Verizon Prepaid’s unlimited option, which normally costs $75 per month, now only costs $65 with the autopay discount in place, so there’s even more of a discount there. Verizon Prepaid also supports having up to 10 lines on a single account now, which is a boost from the original five lines.
Finally, Verizon Prepaid customers can now add mobile hotspots and tablets to their account for the same monthly price as smartphones. And all of these plans include unlimited calling to Canada and Mexico.
The new changes for Verizon’s prepaid offering is available now.
