If you bought a Motorola device in the last few years directly from Motorola via a payment plan, you signed up for Moto Credit (which was run by Comenity). Unfortunately, the service is now closing, as are all Moto Credit accounts.
Before you ask, no, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to pay your balance anymore. You won’t be able to make purchases from Motorola using the credit account after November 29. The account will close on December 3 unless you have a balance. If you do have a balance, you’ll have to make payments until your balance is paid off, then the account will be closed.
With plenty of new Motorola devices released that could use a payment plan option, it’s a strange choice for the company to close Moto Credit. Maybe its working on another option that’s not through Comenity, but we’ll have to wait and see. Keep an eye out for a letter in the mail if you have a Moto Credit account!
