Just last night, a billboard told us that Google will unveil the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 on October 4, one year after unveiling the original devices.
A day later, Google is confirming that date with an official announcement. They’ve launched a website dubbed “Ask more”, and the main text reads, “Stay tuned for more on October 4.” Google also wants you to share your email so you can stay up to date on all the good news that’s sure to pour out next month.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many details along for the ride wit the official announcement. We don’t know where the event will be taking place nor what time we need to make sure we have cleared from our schedules.
The rumor mill has been pretty active with Pixel 2 leaks, and we’ve already seen that the Google Pixel 2 will feature things like IP68-rated water and dust resistance. The FCC even told us that the upcoming handset will have “Active Edges” similar to Edge Sense on the HTC U11, where users will be able to squeeze the sides of the phone to interact with the software.
Are you excited to see what Google announces on October 4?
