Today, cell phone plan comparison site Wirefly announced the findings of their bi-annual 2017 Internet Speed Rankings, which is data from users all over the country who perform the Wirefly Speed Test on their mobile device.
Overall Fastest Carrier
Wirefly named T-Mobile the fastest overall carrier in the United States for the first half of 2017.

- T-Mobile - 21.06
- Verizon Wireless - 20.91
- AT&T - 16.33
- Sprint - 14.82
Download Speeds:
- T-Mobile - 22.18 Mbps
- Verizon Wireless - 21.45 Mbps
- AT&T - 17.00 Mbps
- Sprint - 15.76 Mbps
Upload Speeds:
- Verizon Wireless - 16.06 Mbps
- T-Mobile - 11.06 Mbps
- AT&T - 10.23 Mbps
- Sprint - 6.35 Mbps
WIrefly found that the average mobile data speeds across the country, regardless of carrier, were 19.76 Mbps download and 12.44 Mbps upload.
