Notched displays are pervasive, controversial, and showing no signs of slowing down. In a new twist on the design, the ASUS Zenfone 6 has appeared in a leaked photo sporting a corner notch. This style places a notch for the front camera on the right top edge of the screen, between the signal indicator and the battery indicator. While the notch may seem prominent in the center of the display, this corner notch seems more intrusive as it throws the symmetry of the design out of whack.
Other than the corner notch of the display, it’s also worth noting that while the Zenfone 6 indicates you can use your fingerprint to unlock it, there is no sign of a fingerprint scanner. This means that it is either embedded in the display or under the rear camera element. Speaking of which, there are two rear cameras. The phone also features a headphone jack and a fairly typical ASUS design with a high-gloss glass finish on the back of the device paired with chrome accents.
What do you think about the corner notch? Is this a trend you’d like to see more of?
