Not everyone is a fan of the notch, to say the least. It’s one of the biggest smartphone controversies of 2018 and many would like to avoid it altogether. Luckily, you can get around this with a bit of software.
The Nokia 6.1 had a feature to remove the notch, but the last update removed it. Fortunately the latest release of Pie brought back the notch removal, though it’s not as easy to access.
To get rid of the notch on this device, you’ll have to enable Developer settings by heading to Settings > About phone and tapping the Build number option a bunch of times. From there you can head to Developer options and select “Full bezel.” That’s it!
We wish that it was a simple setting in the display menu, like it is with many devices like Huawei. But this will work if you really hate that notch. And hey, a notch-less future is coming soon!
