If you have a OnePlus 6 and want to try out the company’s new Nightscape camera feature but don’t plan on picking up a OnePlus 6T, there’s some good news for your Thursday.
OnePlus has just confirmed it is rolling out the latest software update for the OnePlus 6. This is OxygenOS 9.0.2, and it brings a variety of new things to the table for OnePlus 6 owners. That includes the addition of Nightscape, which brings even better camera performance with noise reduction, multi-frame and detail optimization, and more. With this feature, OnePlus 6 owners should be able to take a photo in the dark in just about two seconds.
The new software also includes new navigation gestures, an improved UI for the About phone section, an update to the Android security patch 2018.11, and optimizations for standby power consumption. OnePlus is also including the standard bug fixes and performance improvements for good measure.
OxygenOS 9.0.2 is rolling out right now, but as is par for the course with an over-the-air (OTA) update, it will take some time before it lands on all the OnePlus 6 devices out there in the wild. If you don’t receive the update today, you should soon.
If you’re a OnePlus 6 owner, are you excited to get some of the features introduced with the OnePlus 6T without having to upgrade?
