Every week we cover new Android apps with Fresh Meat on Wednesday, followed by Android Gaming on Thursday and Top 10 App Updates on Friday. When Monday rolls around, we look back to see which apps were the most appealing to our audience. Read on for the five most popular Android apps from last week. These apps are ones that are most likely new and haven’t appeared in the top five list more than three times.
1. Pocket Casts
App info: We love podcasts, so we made a podcast player that is full featured, beautiful and easy to use. We’re no strangers to awards having been chosen as a Google Play Top Developer, a Google Play Editors Choice and winning a Google Material Design Award. Mostly though, we love you, our customers, which is why we always keep our app relevant and up to date based on your feedback.
2. Files by Google
App info: Use Files to see how much free space is left on your phone and SD card. Easily transfer files to an SD card to free up your phone’s storage, right from the app. Or use the integrated file cleaner to get more space on the phone.
3. Samsung+
App info: Samsung+ is the go-to destination for Samsung owners, providing personalized, live expert support right on your Galaxy device. It empowers you to get more out of your Samsung ownership, with a vast library of tips & tricks, and self-support tools to keep your device running like the day you got it.
4. Simple Notes Pro
App info: Need to take a quick note of something to buy, an address, or a startup idea? Then this is the app you’ve been looking for! No complicated setup steps needed, just type in what you came for. Comes with autosave, so you will not discard your changes by mistake. Supports creating multiple independent notes.
5. Red Siren: Space Defence
App info: We are in 2138, the raw material resources on the Earth have been depleted. With the support of civil society the private companies have colonized the surrounding planets and utilizing their natural sources. Since the mining technology is not achievable for everybody, lots of people are organized in groups and start looting the planets.
Note: To ensure that all apps receive a fair chance to make the list, we will retire any app that has made the list for three consecutive weeks and identified with an * after the name.
