Last month saw the official debut of Motorola’s new Moto X4, but now a new leak has shown that that there may be a second version of the X4 in the works.
An image of a Moto X4 with Android One branding has leaked out. Shared by @evleaks, the device has the same dual rear camera setup as the standard Moto X4, but with an Android One logo below the Motorola logo on its rear.
There’s no word on when or where this Android One version of the Moto X4 might launch, but recent reports have suggested that the Moto X4 will eventually be offered on Project Fi. If that’s the case, then this device would be the first Android One smartphone offered in the U.S.
While Google has made no announcement about a new Motorola device for Project Fi, the company has said that it’ll have a new “Fi-compatible device at a mid-tier price” later in 2017. With its mid-range spec list, a “mid-tier price” would be a good fit for the Moto X4, and it’d make for a nice affordable option on Project Fi’s service.
