Every Nokia in current lineup will get Oreo update

With the new line of Nokia devices running stock Android, we expect Nokia to be on top of updates. And since Oreo dropped, everyone has been wondering if their device would be getting the update.

Thanks to a tweet by the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, we now know that the Nokia 8, Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and even the Nokia 3 will all be getting the Oreo update. Unfortunately he did not provide a timeframe for those updates.

With many companies like HTC and Huawei pushing Oreo updates this year, we can assume that Nokia would do the same since it’s working with stock Android. Either way, it’s good to see some official word on Oreo.

All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included. No comments yet on timing so that I don’t get into trouble.
