T-Mobile has announced that it has upped the limit for network prioritization to a whopping 50GB, up from the old 32GB limit that was still sitting above AT&T and Verizon’s 22GB threshold.
Prioritization is not quite like data caps. You don’t hit 50GB and get throttled for the rest of the billing cycle. Throttling only happens when you’ve gone over the limit and there is network congestion in your area. You only get throttled when networks are slowing down and less data hungry users are prioritized. During any other time,
50GB is a huge amount of data per billing cycle, so props to T-Mobile for instating a limit that 99% of people will never hit. Now we wait for other carriers to step up their game!
